COGITO was founded by students within the philosophy department a the University

of Manchester; the aim of the project was to create something for philosophy students to

extend their knowledge and passion for philosophy outside of the scope of academic essays.

We knew that students within the department had a lot of novel interests within philosophy that

they wanted to talk about, so, by creating a blog that was not restricted by certain topics, 

students can really elevate their own thinking and also gain experience via an extracurricular route

that focuses on philosophy.

We hope this project to be an exciting and fulfilling way of getting students at the University of

Manchester to extend their studies.
